Our Commitment: Trueszy is built on trust. We collect only what's necessary to provide you with a hyperlocal social experience. We do not sell your personal data to third parties — ever.

- Profile details: username, bio, interests, account type (personal or business)
- Business information: business name, category, address, hours, phone, website, logo, cover photo, service radius
- Content: posts (text, images, videos, audio), short videos, stories, comments, messages
- Communication: messages you send to other users or our support team
Information Collected Automatically
- Location data: GPS coordinates when you grant permission (used for hyperlocal features)
- Device information: device type, operating system, app version
- Usage data: features used, screens viewed, tap events, session duration
- Log data: IP address, crash reports, error logs

- Apple Sign In: name and email (or anonymized email relay) from Apple
- Facebook Login: name, email, profile picture if you connect Facebook
2 How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity
- Provide the Trueszy social feed, messaging, and business discovery features
- Personalize your feed and recommendations based on your interests and location
- Enable businesses to target users within their chosen radius
- Send push notifications (likes, comments, messages, alerts) — you can opt out anytime
- Analyze app usage to improve features and fix bugs
- Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms & Conditions
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that significantly affects your rights without your knowledge.
3 Location Data
Location is central to Trueszy's hyperlocal experience. Here is exactly how we use it:
- When we access location: Only when the app is in use (foreground), with your explicit permission
- What we store: Your approximate location (latitude/longitude), city name, and your chosen service radius in your account document
- How we use it: To show you nearby posts, businesses, and users within your radius; to let businesses reach customers nearby
- Who can see it: Your exact GPS coordinates are never shown to other users. Businesses see only that you are within their radius.
- Opt-out: You can disable location access at any time in your device settings or in the Trueszy Location Settings screen. Some hyperlocal features will not work without location permission.
Note: We do not track your location in the background. Location is only accessed when you open the app and have granted permission.
4 Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- With other users: Your public profile, posts, and stories are visible to other Trueszy users. Private messages are only visible to participants.
- With businesses: If you interact with a business profile (visit, message, review), the business can see that interaction.
- Service providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, storage, and analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, user data may transfer to the new entity under the same privacy protections.
5 Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, which operates globally distributed data centers with enterprise-grade security.
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256)
- Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device
- Passwords are never stored in plaintext — Firebase Authentication handles credential security
- We use Firestore Security Rules and Firebase Storage Rules to restrict data access
- We regularly review and update our security practices
While we implement strong security measures, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to report any security concerns to security@trueszy.com.
